The Hytera PT580H Plus is a mission-critical TETRA portable terminal developed for professional users who need reliable voice and data communication in demanding field operations. The product family is available in B, E, S and T variants, and the exact feature set depends on the selected variant and licences.
The radio is offered in 320-380 MHz, 380-430 MHz, 405-475 MHz and 806-870 MHz frequency versions. It uses 25 kHz channel bandwidth and provides up to 3 W RF output, reduced to 1.8 W for the 806-870 MHz version. Typical static receive sensitivity is -118 dBm in the 400 MHz versions and -116 dBm in the 800 MHz version. Audio output is rated at 2 W with a 3 W peak.
The PT580H Plus uses a 1.8-inch colour display with 160 x 128 pixel resolution and supports up to 6,000 TMO talkgroups, 4,000 DMO talkgroups and 2,000 phone-book entries. The standard 1800 mAh battery provides more than 20 hours of operation in the stated 5-5-90 duty cycle. With the standard battery, the radio measures 127.5 x 55 x 36.5 mm and weighs approximately 368 g including the battery and antenna.
Depending on the selected hardware variant and licence, the terminal can support Bluetooth 4.0, Man Down, real-time clock, GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou location services, Hytera end-to-end encryption, DMO Repeater Type 1A and tamper-proof protection. The housing is rated IP65, IP66, IP67 and IP68, including immersion in 2 m of water for 4 hours, and is tested against MIL-STD-810G. The specified operating temperature range is -30°C to +60°C.
